Forever Interactive is in its recruiting season! If you're a 2D artist - character artist, environment artist, even a digital painter - We've got a position open for you. If you are a hybrid 2D/3D artist, we have a position for you. Unfortunately, if you're only a 3D artist, there's a slim chance we'll have enough work for you, at least for now, so we are focusing on 2D. Special effects are always a plus as well. If, for some reason, a programmer or sound effects artist or anyone else finds this, I guess you can apply, too, but I don't think we have many, if any, openings in those areas.
The website is foreverinteractive.com if you would like to check us out. It's a great atmosphere designed for artists who can't find work in this economy. Lots of fun! The pay is in royalties - meaning you get a set percentage of the profit, based on how long and how well you work here, rather than a salary, which is good and bad. You won't get a weekly paycheck of course, but if the game does well, you could potentially become a millionaire. It has to do REALLY well for that, though! The intention is that you pay your bills with your day job, and then work on this during your nights or weekends or whatever. It's a great way to get a shipped title under your belt.
I know there are some game artists and potential game artists watching me, so if anybody is interested, send me a note, and I will direct you to the people who will need to see your work. A recommendation from me pretty much guarantees you the job! I'm not being asked to do this, I just know the quality of work around here is excellent, so I want you guys to have this chance, even if it doesn't sound like your kind of thing. And I want some cool new people in my scrum!
